Code of Conduct

Christ-centred behaviours

The Seventh-day Adventist Church (South Pacific) Code of Conduct by Adsafe helps set clear expectations for safe, respectful and Christ-centred behaviour in our churches, schools and ministries. It is an important part of safeguarding because it guides how we relate to children, young people and vulnerable adults, and helps everyone understand the boundaries that protect trust, dignity and wellbeing.

Seventh-day Adventist (South Pacific) Church Code of Conduct

The full Code of Conduct is for those aged 18 and over. To sign the Code of Conduct and have this recorded in your on-line account, please go to our Training Portal.

You can also review Code of Conduct online or download a copy from our Safeguarding Framework policies.

For more general information about the Code of Conduct and how it pertains to your local state or territory in Australia or New Zealand, see the Your Conference Code of Conduct Guides below.

If you are experiencing problems accessing or completing the Code of Conduct online please contact us by submitting an enquiry using the training or compliance enquiry form.

Pathfinder Code of Conduct

The Australian Union Conference (AUC) has released a Code of Conduct for Pathfinder Clubs to use with their pathfinder members (ages 10-16). This document is available on the AUC Pathfinder website.

Young Leader Code of Conduct

Adsafe has released a Code of Conduct specifically for Young Leaders under 18. When a Young Leader turns 18, they are considered an adult and must agree to and sign the Code of Conduct  to continue participating in child-related activities.

The Young Leader Code of Conduct outlines a set of expected behaviours for teenagers under 18 who are leaders or assistant leaders in a variety of church-related settings. These settings might include and are not limited to: Sabbath Schools; Pathfinders; Adventurers; Playgroups; Vacation Bible School/Holiday programs; Summer Camps; and Big Camps.

It is sufficient for signed copies of the Young Leaders Code of Conduct to be kept on file at the local Church or entity.
